Launched in 2004, Cirencester Stone is a trade only supplier of natural stone floor tiles and offers great alternatives to traditional English stones such as Cotswold Stone, Bath Stone, Ham Stone, Lincolnshire Limestone and York Stone. Our 'Classic English Alternatives' range offers all the aesthetic benefits of our native stones but with the advantage of harder, less porous materials. All our stones are suited for internal or external application.

Our 'Classic English Alternatives' range comprise:

Field Stone - a great alternative to Cotswold Stone. This popular limestone works well inside and out. Identical in colour to the Wills Building in Bristol, it is harder and less porous than its English counterpart.

Rollo - Tonally, this limestone is very similar to York Stone with its muddy beige, buff colouring with some subtle green hues. It has a hand-worked face and hand cut edges for a rustic feel. A very hard stone, it represents excellent value for money and can be used for interior and exterior projects.

Bullman - We are thrilled to have finally tracked down a stone which resembles the warm mellow tones of Bath Stone. It comes with a slightly textured and brushed face, so is a tactile limestone that will quickly settle into any environment. It can be used inside and out.

Battle resembles Lincolnshire Limestone or Somerset Ham stone and is incredibly robust. It has tumbled corners, a distressed face, is easy to maintain and will last for thousands of years.

As well as traditional stone flooring tiles, we keep a stock of Field Stone slabs for stairs and skirtings and worktops/vanity units and are able to cut steps, basins, window surrounds etc. for bespoke projects.
